Things 1 and 2 were fun. I filled up my iGoogle page with too many gadgets at first, and then it was slow to load, so I had to pare it back. I am using iGoogle at home (which is where I am doing all the Things), but at work it is inconveniently slow to load. It would also be easy to be distracted by the delights displayed!
It's useful to have RSS feeds visible on the iGoogle page, and it makes spotting and following up on items of interest simpler.
Very serene iGoogle you've got there! And I hadn't discovered the BBC radio gadget/widget (must learn the names of these things), looks very useful.
